Magitare Acoustic Nights

Magitare Acoustic Nights is a vibrant live performance platform that celebrates the diverse performing arts of Zimbabwe, including comedy, music, poetry, storytelling, and dance. Held monthly in Harare, Bulawayo, and Masvingo, these events have become a premier showcase for local talent, providing artists with essential opportunities to perform and develop their skills in front of an audience.

Recognizing the rich variety of talent and creativity within the Zimbabwean performing arts scene, Magitare Acoustic Nights was established to address the lack of opportunities for emerging musicians and artists to showcase their work. The platform not only allows artists to perform but also emphasizes professional guidance and mentorship, fostering an environment where talent can flourish.

Initially launched as a simple performance venue, Acoustic Nights have evolved into a comprehensive artistic experience, attracting involvement from various supporting industries such as fashion, film, and makeup. This collaboration enhances the event, creating a microcosm of what a thriving arts industry should encompass.

Additionally, the Acoustic Nights serve as a foundation for the Magitare Fellowship Artist Development Program, ensuring the holistic growth of artists. Through this initiative, participants receive the support and resources needed to transform their artistic talents into sustainable businesses, ultimately contributing to the development of the creative sector in Zimbabwe.
